Questions???

Well only maybe one question. How hard would it be to add the supercharger from a supercoupe to my 3.8 88 cougar, if at all possible and by all means tell me if this sounds like a dumbass idea. I want a little more get up and go but dont want to go through the hassle of changing the motor quite yet. :flame:

I think you would grenade your stock 3.8 by adding forced induction. I wouldn't even try it.

OK i guess so far its a no. Why you think it would suk to do it. Motor seems to run strong has 75000 miles on it. Just wondering why

I'll take a shot in the dark and say...because the engine isn't made for forced induction? Cast pistons and all that sort of .

Supercharged 3.8 V6s have forged crank, rods, and pistons. They also have a beefed up block and better head gaskets. If you put a SC blower on your stock 88 3.8 it'll go *boom* :flame:
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Why don't you star with things you can use now while you await this other motor.  For instance....Step #1:  3.73's

Don't forget a Traction-Lok diff as well;)

He may already have it.  Most V6 87-88's did.  Mine did.

Just swap in a TC rear.
