Really, there's nothing you can do.Just enjoy them.I had a pair on my last Bird, they lasted about 3 years. Now I'm using the Warlock race lers with built in cut-outs.Nice lers, great sound, and by removing 3 wingnuts per side,I can uncork them for the track.

Hope they last a good while on my Tbird since it's my DD!!  Well maybe by then I'll have enough for a really nice set.

flowmasters will rot out, too. stainless is the only way to go if you want them to last forever.

as for the ler location, they wont have a lot of room to move forward or backwards. they basically mount under the rear seat.

comparing my driveshaft to a mustang one was about a 3" difference. to give you an idea on how much longer our cars are.

Stainless lers?  Sheesh.  I thought stainless tips was splurging a bit in luxury...

But yeah, thats what I needed to know about the lers' mounting positions.  Thanks for that info.

I couldn't remember the length difference in the wheelbase.3 inches sounds good to me.Easy stuff when it comes to exhaust.

Alright, here's the deal.  Tomorrow I'm going to set up an appointment with the local shop to get my exhaust done hopefully early Saturday morning.  Friday night, we'll have the headers and H-pipe in and ready to go.  So hopefully Saturday afternoon, I can give the car a nice wash and maybe head over to a cruise in; the first for the Tbird.  Hopefully there is a cruise in this Sat!

whats the minimum age for antique/historical plates in your state? here its 25 years old, and the Antique Automobile Club of America has a rolling 25 year old rule. thats when ill bring my cat to shows and cruises, when its 25. though it wouldnt be too far a cry, not discouraging you from going. i see plenty of late 80s grand nationals, montes, and cutlass 442s there too!

Bleh....I'm gonna have to wait till first thing Monday morning.  The guy I've been talkin to is out on Saturday and he wants to do the job himself, so 8am Monday morning is the time now.  And I'm gonna have to do a whole 2.25in system as well, due to the bending of the pipe over the rear axle.

That doesnt make any sense. Why cant they do 2.5 inch?
