what do you do for a living?

Drugs!..... nah j/k'ing. Though sometimes I think my jobs will drive me too!. I'm psuedo full time computer tech at the local school district. I'm more or less in charge of 14 or so Win 2000 labs between 3 schools plus help support the elementary's (there are 5) Tech guy. I also take care of the districts board office. I consider it my career path as it right up my alley of what I like doing (fixing computers duh!). It doesn't pay what i'd like it to. However i've got 6 years set-up toward retirement and i'll hopefully and most likely be brought up to full time salary. My second job is slinging tacos at the local Toxic Hell (taco bell). I'm only there to pick-up a little extra cash and pay for health benefits (through taco bell believe it or not). I don't intend for it to be a career, but I do see it as a fall back crutch just in case things fall out at the school.

A few years ago I worked at Goodyear Tire co., Then I graduated to The IT industry (where I want to be), I landed a job at the local cable company taking care of the HSD Client accounts, troubleshooting, Resolving connectivity issues, and installing High Speed Digital Cable and Internet., A year Later I stepped Up another notch to work For Hinckley Yachts, (very Prestigious Yacht manufacturing company), For them I Managed all there office machines, about 300 of them, kept users happy, Preconfigured machines to be set up in remote offices, and managed security functions. After a little over a year, I was laid off due to budget cuts, and I now work at a saturn dealership! Ironically, This saturn Dealership is right down the street from the Goodyear I used to work at. Kinda funny how things come full circle.

 I want another IT Job!!!!

Well, I actually change jobs every few years. I am a Naval Officer with about 11 years in. The first 6 were enlisted onboard a fast attack submarine, the USS Topeka out of Pearl Harbor, HI. Then, after OCS, I became the Electrical Officer onboard the USS Boone FFG-28 (for those of you old enough to remember the USS Stark in the Persian Gulf, same kind of ship) and my last sea tour was onboard the USS Carney, an AEGIS guided missile destroyer( see attached pic),both in Jacksonville, FL. If you aren't familiar with that class, it looks just like the USS Cole. Now I am finally on s duty at US Transportation Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. I am a 4 star Air Force General's Power Point b@*ch.
