Difference on 85 spindles and 87-88 ???. January 10, 2007, 01:54:31 AM Yesterday, I jackstanded My ole Bird to change My sensatracs for the PRC ones I have, I removed My shocks from the drivers side front, I started By the front cauz it's a bit more job than the rear, I rebolted the PRC to the up in first, and when I tried to put on the spindle assy, the strut don't enter!!!, the part of the spindle for the two 1/2" bolt the bottom of the strut is near 1/4" too thick...This is only on the TC models the spindle is less thich or only 87-88 models???, I have a 88 base bird on the side of My home, but is under a lot of snow, and I'm not able (impossible) to go to check...on My 85 Bird the thickness is exactly 1", and on the prc is 3/4"...Does the spindles of My 88 will fit (have 3/4" thickness) or only on a TC models...Best regards, Quote Selected

Reply #3 – January 10, 2007, 10:48:23 AM Oh well!, this is exactly what I don't read, TC ONLY parts, ehhhh!!!!, I guess I'll take off the spindles of My 88 parts Bird, and Cut 1/4" with a water refreshed cutting wheel, what do You think of this????, I guess I'll be safe but I don't like this, or this kill Me on the freeway? I'm not sure about this cauz the only thing retain the upper side of the spindle on these fox Bird is the strut, hmmmmm!...Well!, I'll put the PRC on the rear only? (this make an inequal damping), or leave completely this idea and keep My sensatrac, and sold My PRC's here???.Leave this and work on My dual exhaust, or put $$$ again for a suspension no longer in stock????...Please Put Me in a good decision I'm in a duality...Regards, Quote Selected
