The 2 big blocks are bracket raced and tagged for street use as well. The 84 is my drive anywhere, bracket race anywhere machine. My 83 Heritage is the first T-Bird I ever bought. (in 1992) I have bought over 20 since. (12 of which were intercooled Turbo Coupes) Love them all! The 87 Turbo Coupe has the 460 and most of the factory air induction plstic under the hood. I had to lower the engine 1.0 inch lower than normal to get it to clear. Hood shuts fine with a performer intake and a 1/2 inch nitous plate topped off with a 3 in Moroso air cleaner. This car will get 16 x 8.5 (widened) Turbo Coupe wheels soon and Mickey Thompson will be making 295-50-16 Drag radials in the spring. (or so they told me at the NMRA World Finals) They also said they will be making a 315-45-16 DR as well. If they do, this is going to be a great year!
