Glad I found you guys!! Reply #19 – January 04, 2007, 08:19:29 AM I am working on an idea to have the look of the TRX's but use more common 16 inch tires. I'll post pictures and info when I am done but I mocked up a set on my TC yesterday and they look great. Quote Selected
Glad I found you guys!! Reply #20 – January 04, 2007, 08:32:58 AM Thanks everbody! I was getting real lonely thinking that there were few fans of these cars left out there. I see I am not the only one that loves them. My wife races the gray 460 Bird and I race the TC 460. My daughter will be racing the 84 5.0 this year as well. We race at U.S. 60 Raceway in Hardinsburg, KY and we are still the only ones on a regular basis running the fox T-Birds. Quote Selected

Glad I found you guys!! Reply #23 – January 04, 2007, 10:05:31 AM the 87 TC has 275-60-15 on 10 holes in the pics. I am getting some 16" TC wheels widened to 8.5 in. and when Mickey Thompson makes the new 295-50-16 Drag Radials in the spring, I want a set. The gray Bird has 325-50-15 s on weld draglites 15x9. Glad I found you guys!! Reply #24 – January 04, 2007, 04:18:58 PM Ooooo 460 under a stock hood. I like it . I always thought cowl hoods ruined the lines of these cars. I'm building up a 5.0 HO for my Bird this spring (it already has a 5.0 so it's a easy/cheap swap) but if I had money it would have a 460. You don't have overheating problems with the 460 in either the 83 or 87 cars when you drive them on the street do you? Quote Selected
Glad I found you guys!! Reply #25 – January 04, 2007, 05:31:45 PM Nice cars, welcome aboard!Wow, you have the whole family involved and they enjoy it. That's a dream for me when I start a family. Quote Selected

Glad I found you guys!! Reply #27 – January 04, 2007, 08:00:38 PM Cooling is not a problem. The radiator is half full and with a 180 thermostat it runs at 175. I have a 17 in flex fan and it really sucks the air. The radiator is a Summit universal with big tanks and 2 big cores. The shroud is an E6 Mustang piece. Hood shuts without touching anything! Glad I found you guys!! Reply #29 – January 04, 2007, 08:13:44 PM This car is still in the construction phase. The pretty and powerful motor will come later. That is a mid 70's LTD low compression engine with D5 manifolds. Quote Selected
