4 black eyes Reply #15 – November 28, 2006, 07:10:16 PM Hi!,Don't mask with a tape for nothing, when I painted My grille for the first time a couple of years ago, I just masked the large surfaces, and the thin pieces just wiped with a "vaseline" or anything, but grease, after the paint is very dry, just wipe off the "vaseline" or butter or whatever, that's all, It make a nice job, and quickly...Just a bit of grease, like a saran wrap, not 1/4 inch thick Quote Selected

4 black eyes Reply #22 – November 29, 2006, 12:09:16 AM If you're impatient, as I am, you could tape off just the outer section of the grille and do like I did a couple years ago:I have a set of all-black TC ones left over from my '84 and I think I'll be doing something different before this years CJ.
