My new Cat Reply #1 – November 10, 2006, 04:11:20 PM Sounds like the '87 needs about $40 worth of parts and the better part of an afternoon to be back in fighting shape.Congrats on the car.. although it's more of a P***y than a Cat. Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #2 – November 10, 2006, 04:14:10 PM -nice looking car, but as scooby doo would say: 'rotsa ruck.... Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #3 – November 10, 2006, 05:21:22 PM Congrats on the purchase. It will be nice to not have to beat on the '87 daily. That way it will come back in more than just "fighting shape." Plus it will be preserved, last longer and there's less chance of it getting wrecked. Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #4 – November 10, 2006, 05:25:36 PM That's a little front wheel drive car.Isn't that a chick's car?I agree that you should just fix the '87.It won't cost much at all.Get it going old boy !!! Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #5 – November 10, 2006, 05:38:38 PM They are chick cars........my wife has one:grinno: Any questions about it just PM me. I've become well versed in them in 80,000 miles of semi-ownership (It really IS titled to her). Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #6 – November 10, 2006, 06:03:30 PM I love the car and for a small 6 cylinder it has some pep, as to it being a chick car, yea then again so are cavilers focus's and other small v6 / 4 cylinder cars. Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #7 – November 10, 2006, 06:04:35 PM Hey, chicks dig chick cars. That's why they are referred to as chick cars, dodoodooodododur.Found that out when I got the Tib. Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #8 – November 10, 2006, 06:17:30 PM Half of our cars are 20 year old pieces of junk, yet people still talk trash about anything new and having less than a V8.The Cougars are nice little cruiser/grocery getters. The 4 bangers are nice because theyre easy to work on and get good milage. The V6 is a PITA. You have to pull the upper intake to change the spark plugs. Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #9 – November 10, 2006, 11:49:49 PM I hate the ass on those things but having a newer reliable economic car while you fix the car your passionate about is great.CongratsScott Quote Selected

And its a plus when you can still drive a Cougar:D The latter reason is most of the reason that i got this. Not to mention it gets much better gas mileage, but thats a no brainer.Oh i was quite bored yesterday night so here is a little quick time of me circling the car then placing the camera near the exhaust i want to see how it sounded. Its decent sounding i think, certainly no v8 tho. Quote Selected
My new Cat Reply #12 – November 11, 2006, 01:31:34 PM One of my best firneds has one of those. His is an 02 V6 w/ a 5 spd. It is a nice cruiser. He put a pretty nice exhaust on it, and it actually sounds good! It was an AERO turbine ler. Never heard of it until he bought one. I understand it is a deisal truck ler. It is SS and has a life time warentee. I think it is maybe somethign liek a Dynomax Bullet?, but I am not sure.. Excellent sound though!! If you look in the pictures from CJ 05, you will see pictures of it, he tagged along when he heard the words Cougar show :D The car has me and him confused. It has no govenour, at least up to 140. He bought it wrecked so we are thinking something was damged and it doesnt work now?? You should be pretty happy with the gas mileage. If he drives it nice on the highway nad whatnot, it got like 34mpg on the way up to catjam. He has had it in the shop about 4 or 5 times now with tranny problems, but it has been BEAT!! and beat bad! But nice car non-the-less...Frank M. Quote Selected
