On the '87 '88's the DS speaker is snuggled and the PS is easy to get to. I'm just basing my comment on the of a time I had doing my speakers in my cars. Quote Selected

LOL Any how arent the 83-84 dash speakers mounted from the bottom? I think so if you look at the pic you'll see that those grills are part of the metal piece infront of the dash pad. Quote Selected
