I had mailed you a week or so back and told you of my problems with my  sequential tail light module.  The problem is persisting even after following  the directions you gave to adjust the system.

I'm wonder what steps  should be taken from here? can i send the unit in? if it is malfuncitoning still  for you, do i receive a new unit? what do i do in the meantime as far as lights  are concerned? do i unhook all the connections that are in there for the module?  or do i clip wires ? what should i do?

 You can send the module back, and we will test  it. If it's defective it will be replaced. To send it back, be sure to follow  these instructions carefully - failure to do so will result in the package being  refused at customs:
 
 Send the package via USPS (NOT UPS or FedEx). On  any customs forms or stckers you have to fill out, write WARRANTY RETURN ITEM and in any space where it  asks you for a declared value enter "0". You MUST enter "0" for the declared value.  Entering anyn value other tha ) or not entering anything at all will result in  customs refusing the package.
 
 To remove the sequencer from your car, simply cut  the sequencer wires (BE CERTAIN TO LEAVE AT LEAST 12" OF WIRING ON THE SEQUENCER  SO IT MAY BE TESTED). Once the sequencer wires are cut, connect all the wires  together (on each side of the car). For example, on the left side, connect the  green, white, black and red wires together, and do the same for the right side.  Do not connect the ground wire from the sequencer to anything. This will return  your signal lights to "normal" and will allow you to drive the car while waiting  for the results of your return.

That sounds good, what if the sequencer is NOT defective? is there a way you can  make sure it is working order and return it?

Ok i just removed the un it from my vehicle i now need to know where to send  it.  Hopefully it is defective or you all can fix it!

Hey i'm planning on returning my module and i'm having some problems sending  it.
1. your phone number
2. the unit value
3.currency of  settlement
4. country of origin (where it was made)
5. total value of  shipment.
you guys have been great to deal with in the past hope to hear from  you ASAP!

 As mentioned below in my return instructions. The  value and value of shipment has to be "0" as it is a warranty return, I am not  buying the item from you, it is being returned for repair/replacement. You have  to write "warranty return" on the customs form or it may get refused. It was  made in Canada and the phone number is 902-XXX-XXXX. It also has to be sent via  USPS.

I can't send it USPS...A) i already paid for fed ex, and b) there are no USPS  drop boxes near me.

 FedEx may be OK as long as they do not attempt to  charge their "Brokerage Fee" as they ususally to for Canadian receivers. This  "brokerage fee" ranges from $20-$40. If the "brokerage fee" is applied the  parcel will be refused. This is why we said in or first email (and on our  warranty page included with the kit) to not use that delivery service.

Hey you guys took care of everything wonderfully...got the new module in adn  it's working great...i know i shouldnt...but is there a way to adjust it so they  run through the sequence a bit slower?

Hi Brendan..

Glad to hear the sequencer is working for you. To answer your question: The sequencer has the ability to go slower but is limited by the turn signal flasher in your car. If you could find a slower flasher you could slow down the sequencing effect.

 THis is to let you know that today I received an  invoice from FedEx in the amount of $19.61 for the customs clearance of the item  you returned. This is why I told you not to send the item via FedEx. I have  called the number on the invoice and was informed that if I don't pay the  invoice within 90 days you (the shipper) will be responsible for the charges.  Obviously I will not be paying the invoice since I told you originally not to  use FedEx and also told you to declare the value at "0" which you also failed to  do. I just thought I'd let you know because in 90 days you'll be getting a bill  from FedEx

FedEx already told me that  in their agreement with with you, that you accepted when you sent the item  (guess you shoulda read before signing - WOOPS) you agreed to pay the brokerage  fee if I refuse to. They've already told me to ignore the invoice because your  account will be billed for it in 90 days if I don't pay it. I guess we'll see  who it's "woops" for...
 
 Oh, and you're lucky this invoice arrived after  your item was sent, else you'd have lost it until the issue was settled. I guess  you'll be a bit more careful about sending it back if it ever fails again,  because I know I'll be a good deal more careful about returning it to you. I  would just cancel your warranty altogether, but instead I'll just flag my  records to remind me in future. I'm interested to see if you'd be bold enough to  send it back if the need ever arises...

Wow...i was...just for a moment...ready to send people to you for sequential  tail light services.  I"m a big player in the f-body world (aka camaros,  firebirds, trans ams) but all of a sudden SignalWave is going to get all my and  their business...woops for you sir. 

See you fail to understand.  There  IS NO usps that ships big packages in the small town where i'm located.  You  fail to understand that FedEx WILL NOT EXCEPT 0 as a value.  Are you stupid?  its an age old adage that a happy customer tells one person about their  experience...but an unhappy customer tells 10...well trust me..i'm posting on  all the f-body boards not to go through "thundercatz" who the hell names their  company after a third rate cartoon...

What are you, 6 years old? First  off, the common name is coinicidence - my company is named after Thunderbirds  ("thunder") and Cougars ("cats"), the cars that these sequencers were designed  for. Of course a "Big player" in cars should know something like that,  especially given the fact that a Thunderbird is pictured on my  website...

 The fact of the matter is that you failed to follow  my very simple return instructions. These instuctions were provided to you AT  LEAST three times before you chose to ignore them (once on the warranty sheet  and twice in emails).  I could have (and in retrospect, should have) refused  your package when the FedEx truck showed up, but I didn't. Now your ignorance or  stubbornness (or, as it appears, both) have cost you money because exactly what  I said would happen if you used FedEx has happened. WOOPS (oh, by the way, it's  spelled "WHOOPS").
 
 Now, Mr. "Big Player", you can go ahead and bad  mouth me and my company in your F-body forums. I've sold hundreds of these kits  to Camaro/Firebird owners, all of whom have been very happy (including you until  you found out that your own stupidity cost you money - once I get some time I'll  be sure to "troll" the F-body forums and post copies of your email  communications in every thread of yours that I find, and it shouldn't be hard to  find a big player such as yourself). In fact one customer was so happy he set up  his own website with detailed instructions on how to install the kit in his '00  Firebird and gave me permission to use the instructions. That sure sounds like  an unhappy customer, doesn't it?
 
 And then there's the "I was going to brag up your  product" foolishness. Considering it's been more than a year since you bought,  I'd have thought that any "bragging" would have been done long ago. Please,  spare me your foolishness and have somebody change your diaper.
 
 You can go ahead and buy your SignalWave products  (from your email I can only assume that you've got a whole fleet of F-bodies  waiting to have sequencers installed, but you were apparently waiting over a  year to see if I'd accept your mistake). Truthfully I'd much rather let other  companies deal with the likes of you.
 
 The long and short of it: You caused the whole  problem. Had you followed my instructions we wouldn't even be having this  discussion. My refusal to pay FedEx for your inability to follow simple  instructions is at the root of this whole matter. My customer service was  exemplary, as you even stated in your email three days ago. Your mistake, your  problem. WOOPS indeed.

Thanks for admitting to your "bad install" - you've given me excuse to void your warranty. Consider it over. But FYI, I was not referring to your installation when i said you couldn't follow instructions, I was referring to your sending it back wrong.

Customs? I have no problem with customs. I just tell 'em to charge the idiots on the other side of the border that can't seem to read english. Seems to me that you're the one that has the problem with customs.

Now, having said all that, it's clear I'm arguing with a either child, a retard, or a retarded child (the latter seems most likely).  I'm quite finished now. I have added your email addy to my spam list, so you can type away, nobody will ever see your replies. Of course this also means that I won't receive any future requests for tech support or warranty issues from you, but I'd just ignore those anyway. I won't be replying to any of your emails, but rest assured that I will be looking in the F-body forums, and if I find any posts by you (given your "big player" status it should be easy) I will be posting this entire conversation. We'll let intelligent people figure this one out for themselves...
