I'm just about ready to complete the summary.  Yes, the dreaded powerpoint presentation!  Hopefully it will make things really easy to follow, as most of the changes are best explained visually.  I'm documenting as I go, and it's been slow going.

Regarding power and sound.  There are a few running conversions.  At least two different youtube videos, one of them the impressive Phil Marshall XR smoking tires on a dyno at Carlisle.

it would have out-performed the 5.0.  And we know that couldn't happen.

This makes me think of what GM did with the LS engines.

If only Ford had applied that sort of thinking to the small Windsors...
AND added 4-valve, or 3-valve heads to it..."gee it makes sense. we best not then." :toilet:
Well, we all know Ford had their collective heads up their collective asses for most of the 90's.

But anywho, this is about a Folvo 2.3, so I'll back off my rant, and say cool! :D

Gumby, once we get our cars side by side, I'm hoping to convince you to do the head swap (if you haven't already by that time).

i am strongly considering the folvo option as a means to lose weight in the engine bay. leaning toward 8v right now. lighter and less complex with a cheaper aftermarket.

a real world test ride/drive could easily change a persons outlook though :burnout:
gumby - beauty may fade, but stupid is forever!
