never even got a decent photo of her...

well...  on saturday i totalled the t-bird...  never even got a decent photo of it after everything was done to it...  on the way home from work tonight i picked this up off the ground near where it happened tho...

I was on a highway comming around a slight bend and my front passenger side tire blew. I started to swerve to the right so I compensated and my back end spun into the curb comming up along an on ramp.  Which then spun me head first into the concreat wall at 120KM/HR...  after that it was spinning while I watched as pieces of my car and my hat fly by me...  needless to say the front end is completley gone...  The cop that came on scene actually peeled my front liscence plate off the wall...  I'm just lucky i've got the sub-frame connectors or else I might have gotten crushed aswell... 

Basically its a complete write off, but i've only got liability insurance so i'm f*cked good on this one :flame:...  So now i've got to get another car to dump my stuff into but that prolly wont be for awhile cause this car costed me so much and i'd just finally gotten everything done to it...

I'll scan the pictures i took with my other camera whenever i get the film developed...

man that sucks :(  I almost lost mine last week coming home from work, I hit a patch of water at about 70 mph and hydroplaned the car spun completely around and almost came to rest in the center divider of the highway.  I had ever been so scared in my life.  Glad you werent hurt in your accident.

You sound lucky to be alive, not to mention not hurt at all. Im glad to hear you're ok, and the bird was only a car. Be proud it was a car that saved your life, rather than upset that it's gone.

Any idea how the tire blew?
Run over something?
Were they bad?

I came close to totaling my '88 because of driving on bad tires. I will never do that again.

 everyones getting in accidents lately, A guy on another forum was rearended and pushed in to another car, totaling his car. I almost got taken out by a minivan saturday but managed to get out only losing a piece of my ds mirror.

i feel for ya, something similar happened to me when i was 18 in my TC, hopefully you can salvage as much as possible and make another car out of it. part the rest to try and make up some of the difference.

Thats pretty much what I'm going to do, only problem now is that everything underneath the hood aswell as the suspension I'm raping out because those are all new parts...  All I can really think of that people would wanna buy are the doors, rear lights and mabye some interior stuff...

As soon as I get the camera developed...  I'd take a digital one but i've already got all the fender shiznit off the car...  Still need to pull the rad and fan to see the damage on the motor...

wow, i've been extremly busy with 2 jobs and i'm sure everyone's forgotten about this one...  but heres the pic...  I got bored and just took a webcam pic of the actual picture (i dont have a scanner :dunce: )  so heres the pic...  and just know...  I've got my replacement and it'll be the first thing out in the spring... so in the end its working out slowly...

See, you should never have put that 5.0L in there. The extra weight blew out the tire, and you know it. ;)

actually everything on the block was alluminum so in the end it weighed less the the 2.3L cast iron p-shooter:nkhk: :p
