T-5 tailshaft problem.

I was checking my u-joints on my driveshaft because it always has a clunk when you let off the throttle at hiway speeds. At the trans end I was lifting up on the driveshaft and there was alot of play where the driveshaft went into the trans. Now I have seen this problem on the newer Crown Vic with the 4R70W auto trans and you have to replace the extention housing. But what do you do about the T-5 with this problem????Does anyone have this problem too?

There is a replaceable bushing in the tailshaft housing.
