DriveShaft question for an MN12 December 21, 2004, 01:55:42 AM ok, i donno if i'm in the right place, if not, oops....and so far i didn't come across any driveshaft threads...Unless I'm blind and didn't see it, but guess what?...I have a 96 DriveShaft, that my friend gave to me from his tbird and it's in the back of my closet and I wanted to know if It'll fit my 89 baby. Re: DriveShaft question for an MN12 Reply #3 – December 23, 2004, 08:13:17 PM Oh and btw , just to add to the drive shaft info.i actually found this approved maint step in my FoMoCo manual for troubleshooting a drive shaft with vibration.mark the drive shaft at the 12,3,6,9 o'clock positions.install a hose clamp and tighten so the adjuster is at the 12 pos.drive carposition hose clamp in different positions until the vibration is nominal.Tighten clamp and locktight the adjusteri guess that adjuster acts as a counter balance. I tried it on my wifes bronco and it really does do some crazy stuff to the vibration. Quote Selected
