If someone was on the hood of my T-bird like that they would get shot. Oh the scratches, oh the scratches you're leaving behind:yuck: . ;)

Nice XR7. Just be careful and you should be ok. Learn how to drive on a beater in case something happens. Then when you're done learning you can uh, crash it into stuff:giggle:

I didn't leave any scratches behind, I swear! I'll either be driving that or the family van. But if my mom needs the van I'll be driving that. But when I take the test to get my actual license I have to drive that car. Because you aren't allowed to drive a van, you have to drive a car. And it's better that car then the 85 gs!

Why the GS a manual?? If so you get pitty points from the instructor!

I took mine in a manual, and passed with out knocking the instrutor out. lol

But good luck on the permit and job.

I wish we had manuals for the driving test. My first time driving a auto was on the test. I felt like such a dumb ass trying to find the clutch.

Anyways, I took out a firehydrant and almost killed a subaru, and all I had to do for both was get a new door. But be careful.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

When dad bought the Explorer, was super funny to see him trying to find the clutch, he used to drive manual cars for about 7 years or so...sometimes i do the same....

Nice car you have there, Samantha. Those are becoming rare to the day, so drive carefully and keep the car in good shape. You`ll find with the time how great they are, and maybe how happy (or angry...) those machines can made of you when you drive them.

At least my car made me happy when i drove every now and then....

lol...  everyone else's advice is good advice i guess...  but honestly the best thing u can do is stay calm...  which i'm sure u can easily do...  its driving not brain surgery...  plus ur in an auto car...  only thing u gotta remember with the Cougars and T-birds is that they're heavy cars...  just remember to take it easy going into turns on wet surfaces...  and if ur driving them in the winter :nono: go easy on them...

Thanks Daniel. I went in for the application yesterday. It took me an hour to fill out. I was getting antsy sitting there in front of the computer screen. But I probably won't get the job for a while becuase they are looking for people to work over nighters which i'm not old enough to do. So probably in a couple weeks they will be hiring reg. people because people will be leaving becuase school starts in like 3 weeks.

But the gs is like the best car i've ever seen [well in the all stock class]. So it's better to drive the van or the xr7 incase there would be an accident.

Everyone should already know that my dad's gs is like nearing perfection. If I got into an accident with that car i'd be shot. Probably killed. Do you not agree?! I'm not even allowed to think about driving that car, EVER! I'm not even allowed to touch it or lean up against it.

Yeah I know to take it easy. And I'm very calm about most things. I think I might be a little nervous but that's what breathing is for! I hope i'll be a good driver!
