Blue Screen of death July 24, 2006, 12:56:18 AM Ok, so we have a newer desktop Sony Vaio. I don't use the computer, so I don't know what was changed or screwed up, but when I turn on the thing, windows starts to load and then this screen comes up saying that there is an error in software or hardware that won't allow it to boot. I tried messing with everything in the bios, tried to boot in safe mode, keep getting this screen. After the first couple of sentences it says: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUMEAt the bottom of the screen it saysTECHNICAL INFORMATION: ***STOP: 0X000000ED (0X863577B8, 0X0000006, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)The recovery discs are nowhere to be found. Any help would be appreciated. Quote Selected
