Now, the place where the other side's gast tank strap attaches( toward the front of the car) is rusted out. I think im going to buy a strap of metal and make a new whole and bend my own strap.. would there be any downsides to that.. theres none i could think of. Quote Selected
replacing a gas tank. Reply #1 – July 17, 2006, 12:12:49 AM I did that on two of my cars. I used a piece of all-thread rod and bolted it up through the front part of the trunk floor. For good measure I even cut a square piece of steel (probably 2"x2") to act as a washer. Quote Selected

It looked to be some sort of bracing or smoething like that to me. But it has been over a year since I've really looked at that part of my car. Quote Selected
