Brake Hoses

Using '96 calipers on an '88 5.0 Sport, what hoses do I need.  The ones on the '96 calipers are too short, and are the wrong size on the hardline end.

Too short? That's.... odd.

Are the fittings too big or too small?

Fittings on the hard lines are too small, which makes the hoses too big.

Well you have two options. Double flaring with two of these.

Or finding an adapter. :)

...still can't figure out why your soft brake lines are too short. =/

Its not that they dont reach, its just that the hose is to the point that it is just about kinked up at the point where it goes into the hardline.  I just remembered that is with the car on a lift, do you think they will be ok if I find the right adapters, and with the car on the ground?  Especially if I lower the car like I am discussing in another thread?  Looks like I have some trial and error stuff to do next week.

I used SN-95 lines without a prob, I don't see why you can't either. If you lower it, then that's less travel so you should be all good.

Ok then, All I have to do is find the right adapters.
