Modified Suspension Woes

Ok, here is what I have.  '88 Tbird Sport, with '88 Stang K and arms.  I have '95 Stang Spindles, with '96 17 inch wheels attatched to them.  I am having a problem setting up my camber.  First off, I dont even know what its supposed to be.  I used Fox tie rods, and the toe is very close.  Ball joint distance is wrong, at 52.5 inches, but because of the later spindles, the front track is correct.  My struts are adjusted all the way inboard, but the top of the tires just barely stick out with positive camber.  I am trying to get away without haveing to get c/c plates, they are not in the budget right now.  If I lower the car, I think that will get it to where I can adjust camber.  I only want to go down about 1 to 1.5 inches, nothing too drastic.  Since Eibach doesnt make springs for these cars anymore, anyhone got any idea what springs I should use?  Fox?  SN95?  Coupe?  'Vert?  I know c/c plates are best, but if I could lower the car, which I want to do anyway,  I can hold off on the c/c plates for now.

Oh and you pretty much answered your own question. C/C Plates. :)

Thanks!  Ok, this question, stock or aftermarket?  Also, wouldnt lowering it make the tops of the tires tilt back in some?

I believe you have to run SN95 inner tie rods to correct things also. Will and David both went through that before.

Well I'm partial to Bullitt Springs myself. :D They are cheap and ride good.

Eric, SN95 inners would be impossible, becuase SN95 inners are metric, and Fox outers are standard.  I already tried SN95 inners and outers, but becuase of my Stang front chassis, I have a 52.5 inch balljoint measurement instead of the original 54.5 inches.  However, my tires fill the wells really nicely, I am afraid if I put the original style arms in (which is same as SN95 arms)  the front tires will look like a truck going down the road.  I have pics if anyone wants to see.

That is what Will said also...I'm taking the word of two people who went through hell to get it figured out. Since it cost them good money I don't see why they'd be wrong...

Hmm, I had SN95 inners and outers, I tried to get the Fox tie rods to go onto the SN95 inners, but they would not go.  I dont know, maby, I was in too much of a hurry when I was changing stuff back to Fox tierods.  Anyway, I have about 3/4 of an inch in the outers, and the toe is really close to being right.  I know that camber adjustments will change toe on these cars, so maybe I will try the SN95 inners again.
