You must add that to the percentage(s) of the aftermarket tint for your total VLT. Trust me on this; you don't want to risk it.Just put 35% all around and be done with it. That's plenty dark. window tinting Reply #2 – June 26, 2006, 01:16:00 PM they read darker on the windows! if you have 15% then it will read 14% to 12% on their gauge. so you need to get lighter than legal if you are going to go with legal tints. the cops know its impossible to get exact legal tints so they made sure to set it at a level so that if you want legal its illegal. window tinting Reply #3 – June 26, 2006, 01:53:56 PM I second or third any suggestions that you avoid the absolute darkest tint you can get.. but not for the same reasons. It's a bitch to see out of at night, and the next step up in tint is just fine. That's what I have on my LSC, and it's a bit easier to see out of at night.EDIT: This is the brand of tint my tint guy used: http://www.llumar.com/na-eng/Automotive/auto-solar.htmlJust the basic stuff.. nothing terribly expensive. He did it for me for his dealer price, since I've known him about as long as I've been driving. Quote Selected
