If your car has the 5.0 you should already have the two-hump crossmember

im pretty sure it doesnt . it is a 5.0 but the guy I bought the car off of said he took the car somewhere to get duel exaust on it and they said he would have to get a two-hump crossmember first.

My '87 parts Tbird had one, I used it for my 5.0 conversion.

Most any junk yard, Summit Racing, or Jegs will have one.

And Jegs is right there in Columbus, go by and pick up a catalogue.

My 87 Sport, 88 Cougar 5.0 and 88 base 5.0 T-Bird all had 'em from factory. If yours doesn't, somebody swapped it

Mine also doesnt have 2 with my AOD. but like Turbo coupe said, i'm not sure if someone swaped one in....

But why do we need to change the whole k-member?
The part where the exhaust hold is bolted on the k-member.... no?

K-member: Holds up the engine, suspension arms attach to it.
Cross-member: Holds up the transmission's tail. That's about it.

Now I look like a dumb @zz again....  :dunce:  :giggle:

I always tought K-member was only a shorter name for the same thing.... so i tought there was 2 cross member in our car...

Anywayz.... replace the word K-member with C-Member in my post and we r done....  :grinno:

sorry im an idiot. it does have a double hump. the guy i bought it off of said that it needed one, because he is also on the board, and a long time ago he posted about dual exhaust, and ppl said that he needed a double hump. so newayz it doesn't matter.
