Car will not start

I have a friend who has a 3.8l turbo Tbird and removed the dash, radio and other non essential items to remove weight from the car for racing purposes. Somehow he removed something that caused it not to run. The car cranks over but will not run. Can removing the dash cluster or radio prevent the car from starting?

My car did this when the EEC power relay quit working. It'll crank until the battery goes dead but wont fire to save it's soul.
Does the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key to run? If not check that relay. It's up in the passenger side footwell behind the upper portion of the dash on mine. If you removed the dash the relay may have gotten bumped or something.
You can also check to see if your  ignition is sending juice in the run position with the connector for it. Just turn the key on and hit the slots in the connector with a test light  2 of them will have juice 2 wont. After you turn the key on the second of the 2 big wires in that gets power.
If thats not it then you need to verify that you have spark at the plugs, power to everything that needs it, and fuel going into the chambers themselves.
