i did the 5 lug on my old 85. i really like the tc snowflakes so i was going to stay 4 lug but when i found these it all went out the window :giggle:

the pic makes the one wheel look curbed but it's just some scratches, no curb rash at all.

Hell, I used to say the Cobra R's were overdone, but if I got a deal like that, I'd get 'em too.  No doubt they look good on our cars.

pretty overdone on mustangs.i've only seen them on one bird, Johns331 iirc, and they looked killer. i HATE the 4 lug versions of these wheels, they just don't look right.

We have them on our Mustang and they look really good. But they look even better on the T bird.

Here's what they look like on my 86... (formerly Johns331). The tires are 245/45/17 on front and 275/40/17 on the rear. If you have quad shocks I would go with the 245's all the way around. They're a nice fit.

that looks so good. i was going to go 255's in front and 275's in the rear. i'll be using the quads, mabey they will fit if i flip them.

Hey Gang Those Five Spoke Wheels Make A World Of Difference And Really Make These Cars Stand Out , I Was Wondering Why They Didn't Come With The Five Lug To Begin With , Why Was 4 Lug Used??? I Have An 87 Cougar Xr7 And I Was Wondering Is This 5 Lug Conversion Hard To Do And What Parts Do I Need And Is It More Work Than It Is Worth AND DO I HAVE TO GET ALL NEW BRAKE PADS AND SHOES AND CALIPERS OR CAN I USE THE ONES I HAVE , OR CAN ONE GET REAR DISCS CHEAP FOR THIS CAR WITH THE FIVE LUG And Can One Get Really Nice Five Spoke Wheels In Chrome With 4 Lugs Or Are They Non Existant. And How Much Are Those 3 Light Sequencers For The Rear Lights And Is That A Hard Project Too. Thanks A Million Lost,,,,,, Cat Eyes

These links should answer all your 5-lug/Rear Disc questions.

As far as if it is worth it that is entirely up to you. I have done it on every Thunderbird I have owned and will continue to do so. SN-95 wheels are cheap and they look sweet on Fox Birds/Cats.

Cobra Rs are available in 4-lug and in chrome. That's actually quite well known, you should visit some fox mustang (79-93) sites.

Uhmm... you have run-on questions. Start a new thread please. :)

I had Cobra R's back in '96 when I went 5 lug (seems like a long tine ago now..LOL!!) I ran 275/40 and 255/45's. There's lots of T-Birds rolling on them nowadays.  I got sick of them though from seeing them everywhere on Mustangs so I ditched them    .

Here's a pic of my old setup....
