New vhip...err ride... June 08, 2006, 08:52:51 PM After months of trying I have finally managed to land myself a new car....newish....2002. Anyway I guess the key to getting one is...be at a job longer than a month. I kept getting turned down. First for a 99 Mustang, then for cheaper but older versions of my current car. I've landed a gem and I couldn't be happier to go into debt because of it. You can barely tell it has 77,000 miles on it...it looks fresh from the showroom. Anyway here she be....my new 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. Quote Selected

New vhip...err ride... Reply #2 – June 08, 2006, 09:26:53 PM Typical mileage on an '02 is about 60,000 miles...and to be honest, if anyone would sit in the car...including me...it looks, feels, smells and just radiates like a 10,000 mile car. It's spotless inside, non-smoker, loaded with everything except the good cd player and heated seats. It's also the smoothest car I have ever driven. I can't tell it's running, bumps...I can't feel them, and power...man that blower wakes up the power. I've driven 240+ hp cars before and this is just a different animal. I love it. I can't believe I found one in this condition too.Price....10,000 even. Thats 2,000 less that what it should go for in this condition. I got lucky and I feel I found a great deal. Quote Selected
New vhip...err ride... Reply #3 – June 08, 2006, 10:11:05 PM That's sweet. I wanted one of those GP's in the worst way when I was looking to get a car last year. My parents wouldn't allow me to buy myself a used car though (even though its my loan that I solely qualified for and I'm paying 100% of ) Good luck with it. Quote Selected

My neon has 32k and I'd had it only a year in may.I was looking at one of those when I was car shopping, but they wanted something like $17k for an '02 so I said no thanks. Quote Selected

On bald tires, even?Remind me never to drive anywhere near you. I value my cars and my life too much. Quote Selected
