Memorial Weekend purchase

I spent some of my wife's comission check on this '87 XR7.  I had to replace the IAC motor and the MAP sensor to keep the Coug from stalling.  Next...a complete rebuild of this monster...I can't wait!!

A $700 Cougar here would be rusted beyond belief.

Thanks.  It runs good.  Has a front seal leak (minor) and still takes a minute to warm up without stalling but is better than it was when I picked it up.  I'm looking forward to pulling the 5.0 and getting it refreshed with a few extra horses.

As a new member, I certainly appreciate the info and feedback from this site and fellow members.

Nice car...

Scan the EEC for codes, you'll likely find your stalling problem...

No.  I've seen it going on...but it's always been just a drive by viewing.  I travel a lot with my job and I'm not always around on weekdays.  I'll start trying to get around there when I am traveling locally.

Car looks nice!  If you took a buffing wheel to the paint and cleaned them headlights up it would look even better!
