who belives the man on the moon?

now b4 this starts or gets out of hand everyone can belive what they want to belive.

now i have allways loved the space progran and think it would be bad ass to go up into space.  i have allways like the stories about the moon missions and the Space race so to speak.. but recently i watched a video that was on fox a while ago bring up how we (man) could have never set foot on the moon. and some verry darn good points were brought up some that are a little maybe out their. but just to bring up some points.

doctored photos .
the suits wouldnt keep them safe.
problems with the lunar lander.
the video feed. (py)
no engine noise landing on the moon.
flags blowing around (no air)
some belive it was all done at area 51.

just seeing what everyone else thinks

hope the goventment dont tap my stuff for this lol.

Well, this is a very interesting topic. I saw a lot of those shows too.

As far as the flag blowing thing, I don't think it was moving because of wind. I think it was moving because it was attached to the pole. The slightest turn of the pole would make the flag look like it was moving a great distance.

There is no engine noise in space because it's a vaccum. With no air sound waves can't travel;)

they have a piece of wire along the top and bottom of the flag, that's bent to give the appearance of being wind-blown...
Not to worry too much, i think the myth of "not landing on the moon" is kinda  :bs:

Kinda like the theory about the UFO crash at Roswell....too many people with too many rumors that seem halfway credible..
Rest assured that the lunar landing actually did happen in 1969 :D

1.  Apollo 14 astronaut Allen Shepard played golf on the Moon. In front of a worldwide TV audience, Mission Control teased him about slicing the ball to the right. Yet a slice is caused by uneven air flow over the ball. The Moon has no atmosphere and no air.

2.  A camera panned upwards to catch Apollo 16's Lunar Landerlifting off the Moon.  Who did the filming?

3.  One NASA picture from Apollo 11 is looking up at Neil Armstrong about to take his giant step for mankind. The photographer must have been lying on the planet surface. If Armstrong was the first man on the Moon, then who took the shot?

4.  The pressure inside a space suit was greater than inside a football. The astronauts should have been puffed out like the Michelin Man, but were seen freely bending their joints.

5.  The Moon landings took place during the Cold War. Why didn't America make a signal on the moon that could be seen from earth? The PR would have been phenomenal and it could have been easily done with magnesium flares.

6.  Text from pictures in the article said that only two men walked on the Moon during the Apollo 12 mission. Yet the astronaut reflected in the visor has no camera. Who took the shot?

7.  The flags shadow goes behind the rock so doesn't match the dark line in the foreground, which looks like a line cord. So the shadow to the lower right of the spaceman must be the flag. Where is his shadow? And why is the flag fluttering if there is no air or wind on the moon?

8.  How can the flag be brightly lit when its side is to the light? And where, in all of these shots, are the stars?

9.  The Lander weighed 17 tons yet the astronauts feet seem to have made a bigger dent in the dust. The powerful booster rocket at the base of the Lunar Lander was fired to slow descent to the moons service. Yet it has left no traces of blasting on the dust underneath. It should have created a small crater, yet the booster looks like it's never been fired.

I have watched many videos and documentaries on this subject, i have come to the conclusion that we did infact go to the moon, however at the same time i also believe that some photos and videos where infact stagged. In one picture i have seen there was a rock about 7 inches in diameter, it had a number drawn onto it (i can not recall the exact number it may have been 6 or 16) the number itself was aprox. 3 inches in diamteter. People claim it is one of the props in that picture that was mistakenly placed with the number facing the camera. Why the goverment may have covered some of this up is beyond my knowledge but im sure there is a reason.

That one has always baffled me. After watching Apollo 13 a million times I was like wait a sec... If he was the first, then who the hell is hold the camera??? They must of tossed it out the window first. :D

how come we have never gone back?  I also wonder why it was a choice in our path to space that we never return but instead decide its best to build a space station.

Actually having lived in FL and seen MANY of space shots and meeting Buzz Aldrin, I have come to the conclusion that we did indeed land on the moon. Anybody that says otherwise should be shot or brought to a mental home.

One of my personal favorite reasons for why I am sure we went. You actualy think that the old U.S.S.R, especialy at that time, would actualy let us get away with a fake landing. They would have been all over us, as would China, and everyone else that was not fond of the U.S. at that time. Besides, I know there are also too many people out there that have expensive telescopes that can see the moons surface anyway.
turbo88 has a good point also, the government does do allot of stupid things, then covers it up thinking they make sense at the time, so that someone doesn't look stupid. You also have to remember that people are making money from this theory also.

How do you know that the Earth is actualy round by the way? You sure it's not oval? Scientists once thought the earth was flat. How do you actualy know that your not in a coma, and this is all a dream, and the fox car you drive was never made, and the intranet is just a way for the government to oversea your thoughts, or who you are that you think you are and you have actualy been brainwashed to believe what you do today, if there is such a thing as a day, or a night, or the Earth, or..........

There were clusters of cameras and instuments attached to the lunar lander. I am assuming that it was one of these cameras that recorded the first steps of mankind on the moon.

I'm old and can't remember a lot of things these days but... I DO remember setting in front of the fokes NEW 23" COLOR TV console and watching LIVE B&W pictures from the moon... Yea the pictures were blurry, but the resoultion of small cameras was poor at best in '69. Good studio cameras were HUGE and heavy, every ounce and bit of space counted on lift off. Fifteen years later, I remember being amazed at the clarity of the small B&W RCA cameras used in the surveilance systems I installed in '84.

Yes it as all part of the plan to prove to the world we were better than Russia and could land a man on the moon... And we did it!!!

BTW much of the solid state techonology we used in the late '70s and early 80s was actually pionerred by NASA. If not for the space program, its possible we'd all be gleaming at our new computers with 286 processors about now...

Exactly.  There is no way.  They were in direct competition with us.  They would have done everything within their power to prove that we faked it.

And jcassity, the reason we haven't been back?  Nixon effectively killed the Apollo program in the early 70s and cut NASA's funding because the public was no longer interested in the space program and supporting it would not get anyone any votes.  It has never recovered from this.

I hope that we get back to the moon by 2018 like they are planning now and that whoever goes videotapes Armstrong's footprints and the old equipment left up there and puts this stupid rumor to rest.  Of course then there are people that will claim that was faked too.
