87 bird questions May 30, 2006, 09:09:46 PM I found an 87 t-bird for sale but I have a few questions about it. the car has power everything except for keyless entry and passenger seat and it has a floor shifter and a digital dash with a 5.0. would this make it a sport? I forgot to look at the vin number the car has 130,000 miles and they are asking $1,000 obo. the body is in kinda rough shape but isnt too bad. are they asking too much? Quote Selected

You know the basics, how the engine runs/idles, how well or poorly the transmission shifts.Also depends on how rough the body is and how much any repairs will cost you.To give you something to go on, I picked up my car with every option available minus the argent wheels and engine block heater for $900 with 172,000 miles. The motor dripped a little oil (but what ford doesn't) but it didn't need anything to pass inspection. The body had minimal rust on it and no other damage. Quote Selected
