Throttle Solenoid Positioner adjustment (1987 3.8 V6)

Hi!
My friend who is a mechanic said that I should adjust the throttle solenoid positioner (anti-diesel solenoid) in my Thunderbird as it's set to close the throttle too fast. I said "don't fix it if it runs well", but maybe he's right?
He said the adjuster should be set in the middle, is that correct? It's set now closer to the engine front. How should I adjust it so it would be correct?
Thanks for any ideas!

This thread should help.
Here is another good ISC post.

Ignore the posts saying the TPS should be ~1V; that doesn't apply to our CFI cars.

The ISC (Idle Solenoid Control) isn't an anti-diesel solenoid. It controls the idle. As described in the other threads...once the EEC sees the idle voltage, it moves the ISC in/out to get the desired rpm. As long the ISC doesn't move to full extension or full retraction while maintaining idle, it is adjusted correctly.
