This hole is actually too low ( nice cut Bill :flame: ) LOL.. I just put a piece of tin in and made it higher and sealed it up. Quote Selected

AOD-T5 swap has begun :D Reply #12 – May 12, 2006, 12:47:23 PM If you want to do it like factory and so the dust boot fits properly, you will have to pull the carpet up and you will see that on the transmission tunnel there is a sheetmetal box screwed to the tunnel that the shifter mounts too. These are different between auto floor shift cars and 5 speed cars. I've pulled many carpets up on mustangs to see this. On a second note, all of you cat/bird guys should do the same thing when going to auto or 5 speed. I did this to my car. I got my sheet metal peice out of a TC. On our floor pans the dimples for the screws are already there, so lining up the sheetmetal piece is easy. This got rid of alot of noise that came through the tunnel area because the dust boot was not down properly. Quote Selected
AOD-T5 swap has begun :D Reply #13 – May 12, 2006, 02:21:41 PM Im not going to worry about putting in a diff piece of sheet metal, just going to screw the lower boot to the tunnel. I had the piece of the tunnel from my 88 that was a factory 5spd but decided not to bother doing all that. A little noise isnt a big deal, not a DD and im yanking the sound deadening anyway lolthere was a black switch with a yellow end on it, is that the auto nuetral/safety swtich? How would I go about overriding it. Also how did u route the wiring for the t5 in your car? I know factory it at the bottom of the tunnel about the middle or so of the seat but I dont feel like taking my console and carpet and all that out. Quote Selected
