Learned an Ebay lesson...

DO NOT buy imitation products.

I bought one of the HKS SSQV imitation blow off valves. The thing worked great...for about a week. After going through a hassle trying to get a snap ring for it, since the company sent the wrong one, i had to go to a different vender because the one i bought the valve from was non-responsive, i had the thing fail on me.

Yesterday, i go to start the car, and it wouldnt run, had to fight and fight it. Turns out, the diaphram inthe valve ruptured after one week. ONE WEEK.

Now i spent 70 bucks on the thing, has no warranty, no response from the company, and since i hacked up all the hoses for my bypass valve, im suck without boosting to avoid compressor surge.

Looks like i gotta spend the 220 on the real deal.
It's Gumby's fault.

Dude, get a Forge...$130 & a lifetime warranty, you can't beat it. I hated dropping such a chunk of change for a BOV but it has worked flawlessly since I put it on.

Sucks that you blew $70 on that paperweight...live and learn I guess.

Chinese .  Sorry to hear it happened to you, Shawn.  I guess when you buy a $70 BOV, you get a $70 BOV.

Im going to pick up an actual HKS here soon, probably friday. Its 210 bucks, but it works flawlessly on these cars.

With the Forge, ive heard way more mixed reviews with venting them than i have the HKS, and i now know for a fact it works well, since the imitation worked well for a short period of time.
