HO header ?

Morning guys,
got my HO headers friday, and got a ? I already have a true duel exhaust with h-pipe and flows(no cats). I know i will have to lengthen my o2 wires and have the o2 bungs welded in to the h- pipe, but will the headers be a direct fit to the exhaust that i already have?? or will i have to have the pipes shortened? (where they meet the header)
Thanks, Joe

I think the angle is diffrent between the mainfold and the shorty headers.

Manifolds use a gasket to seal to the head pipes. The headers use a socket  to seal to the head pipes metal to metal. You'll have to mod the head pipes a bit to make the headers work.

thanks, if I get the headers on, is it safe to drive it to the exhaust shop with no o2's so they can weld the bungs in? when I had my exhaust off last time I don't remember a gasket, I was thinkin it was metal to metal also, maybe not!!??
Thanks again, Joe

I wouldn't drive it without the O2's.

No biggie to drive it without the o2 sensors, it will just run a little rich.. Rather than all that, why don't you just find a Mustang H pipe??? Also the LSC Lincoln HO pipe fits, but it's 1"-2" shorter than the Stang pipe... At any rate you'll have a better system, and should only require some minor work at the extension pipes...
