Turbo birds and cougar trans?

Ok.... so this is what i have come up with...... with tcoupes and xr7's they came with either the c5 auto or t-5 in 83-86 correct or not?  I am wondering is the automatic longer or shorter than the T-5 and by how much?  and does anyone know if the SROD 4 speed trans in fox body 79-86 were the same length as T-5?  im going to be getting a 4 speed srod trans out of 82-83ish mustang 2.3 for the cougar.  ( that way i dont resell it when i pull engine trans out for v8 :-D)  the 2.3 and 4 speed will be used in mini stock racing.  but thats another story... so anyone got numbers and answers?

 Thanks yall
