88 V6 engine harness mod

Was thinking about modding a v6 harness to work on a v8...
Before I get serious, and get the solder iron and the EVTM out, is it even feasible...the engine is an '87, btw. If I need new sensors, I'll buy em...as it is, gotta come up with mounts and upper gaskets.

I've been lookin at the evtm, but sometimes it doesn't clarify some stuff...
My main concern is whether connectors like map sensor plugs, and stuff like that will interchange on the connectors from v6 to v8 harnesses.
Since I don't have access to an '88, it's hard for me to tell...

Thanks for any help, I've been pondering this for a while :D

(on a related note, this is going to be an SO engine for awhile, except for e7 heads and headers, doing it all low-buck style, with what I have...)

well for the most part it'll work youre going to have to do something about the injector harness unless you make it a CFI V8. Physically the CFI harness for a V8 and  V6 are indentical Ive actually had a V6 CFI harness running a V8 CFI motor. The only thing Im not sure about is exactly what all you have to repin but be prepared to. On the CFI 8 engine the harness plugged up just like the V6. I didnt even have to lengthen anything.
