where to get new trim April 19, 2006, 12:39:45 AM i have a 1988 cougar ls with chrome trim down the sides and around the windows i want to get new black trim as im going with a black paint job is there any where i can get it? Quote Selected

Unless you happen to get really lucky and find NOS pieces, you will have to do what Haystack mentioned.The chrome strip inside the molding can be replaced on the bumpers only. See the Vendor's Section for AerobirdMotorsport's offerings on that trim. The other molding pieces have built-in chrome strips that cannot be replaced or removed. Quote Selected

Finding these chrome-trimmed parts in good condition is getting harder and harder as the years go by. If it's in nice shape, maybe you could use black trim tape or something reversible like that.
