How's this for depressing?

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/792.shtml

I really like this truck and all, but .. been in it a lot more than usual lately with all the doctor appointments in the next town. (those being expensive as hell, too.. $112 today just for blood work.. but at least the Ultram was less than a dollar a pill) The other half drives the '89 Mark to work, and the '86 T-bird would be spoken for by my aunt if it were driveable. Beginning to think I might want to keep the '88 T-bird for myself, with the HO out of the '88 Mark.. gotta be better than this.

I figured we were about due for yet another thread bitching about gas prices.. so have at it. :p

The Grand Prick makes for better mileage than the T-Bird, but it still hurt to pay $37 for a tank.

Gas is 2.89 here for regular. It cost me $30 to fill up from half a tank in my 93 Buick Century 3.3 V6  .

I think those mileage figures aren't entirely correct...I mean, I drive moistly country backroads & some highway, with a little "city" driving, my tempo (5 spd) generally averages 29-30 mpg although on my last tank I got 32 (don't ask me why), and last year when I drove it out to St. Louis I got 36 mpg the whole way out (and that was doing 70-75 on the interstate the whole way).

Also in my thunderbird I've never gotten below 20 mpg...generally it averages 25-26 mpg.

Here's one for my Maxima.  It says I should only get 27 on the highway but I usually get around 30-31.  Only downside is I have to run premium in it. :(

I can't complain about my Tib on gas.
The site says I should get 30 highway and 22 city for about 25 combined.
I'm consistantly getting 28-35 with it every day. Sure beats the cougar and the 17 that I get.

I fill up usually 2 times a week in the Tib. Lots of driving. I use about a quarter of a tank a day and drive for either 6 or 7 days of the week. :(

Lucky. With 3.73s and a led foot I get about 13 if I'm lucky when I drive the Tbird.

I'm just glad they have auto propane in Antigonish. Because my jeep has the same figures as the truck had from the factory. I had expected the T-bird to be better than that, actually.
