SC50 is installed! ANd she almost runs!

Hey everybody! As of last night, Layla runs with the new SC50. She won't idle unless I hold the throttle a little and part-throttle she "surges" a little, but she did that with the Merkur T3 3 weeks ago. I'm going to throw a new TPS on her and hope. She runs perfect at WOT though:D This car flat out hauls ASS! I went to my normal speeding spot and hit 60 in 2nd, 100 in 3rd, and 120 before I had to brake!!! i NORMALLY ONLY HIT 90-95!:hick: So here's some pics. What do you think? Any ideas on the stumble/idle are appreciated. If I can get the idle worked out by Friday at noon, I'll be at PIR at 6 for some racing!

TFI & pickup were the cause of all my idling issues.

Looks good.  How fast do you think it hit 60?

And put a whole motor in it like mee??? :D

Seriously Michael it does look really good(NOW GET SOME ED BLACK PAINT ON THAT CAM PULLEY!!!).

I'm doubting the iginition system is at fault if it pulls good at full boost so I'll ask the obvious, have you checked for codes??? May just need to set the base idle(IAB disconnected)then set the TPS.

How much boost you running?

Now you just gotta get rid of that factory "heatercooler" and you'll be in business...

BTW my guess for the py idle and surging is a vacuum leak.

Thanks for all the comments guys! The py weird intermitent problem is not just at idle, it just keeps it from idling normally. It does it at all but WOT. It almost feels like the car is turning off and on. I thought it was the TPS, but installing a new one did nothing. There are no codes and no CEL. The VAM was switched out with another (off of a running TC out back) and it didn't change. All vacuum lines have been replaced and are correct. The dizzy is has a new Motorcraft PIP and a Dyno-Mod TFI, coil by MSD, and Taylor 8MM wires on NGK plugs. I'm thinking the LA3 might have taken a dump?? Anyways, I drove her about 20 miles today and she popped the turbo coolant return line off, so she got hauled back on a tow truck (me and the driver/owner are friends, I bought a TC off of him!). I'll fix the line tomorrow and continue troubleshooting. The tracks are open but it's raining anyways.

Hey 5.0! My Code 33 TC is getting a VERY unorthodox V8 swap. This is my LAST 2.3T build-up. And BTW, it's getting an adjustable pulley, so I never bothered on this one. ;)
