Mustang front suspension.

So i was reading through some of the old stuff and came across a thread concerning mustang tubular a-arms on a fox tbird or cat that said those a-arms had moved his tire in.  I think that might solve my rubbing issue along with a coilover setup to stiffen the suspension.  I'm not worried about moving it in too far I will use spacers to get it where i want it but i want to lower the car and my current 265's stick out from the fenders too much to lower it but it looks funny at stock height i want my rims and tires exactly as they are just moved in on the front.  Im open to anything except changing my rims and tires they look sooooooo good.:D

Honda owners are like rabbits......they hide under your shed during the winter and then 30 of them come popping out around spring.

265s?

Assuming you have an 87-88 Tbird/Cougar then yes, Fox Stang arms will move your wheels in some. If eariler then no. They will stay put. But obviously, the 265 tire is the culprit. You should really consider getting a narrower tire... or some bodywork on those fenders. :)

Installing Mustang lowers will pull your lower ball joint in, which will bring the wheel in, but it only brings the lower part of the suspension in. This will throw your camber WAY out of spec (too much posive camber, meaning your wheel will tilt out at the top), and will cause your tires to wear on the outside edge (something that is already an issue with these cars). Positive camber is also bad for cornering. You might straighten it out with caster/camber plates, but I don't know if they'd give you enough movement.

i used mustang camber plates and moded the strut tower a bit and the mustang arms worked with a mustang k-member but the t-bird k-member is narrower than the stang ( where the a-arms mount ) and might propose a problem with the camber too. i would suggest a narrower tire too. i was running all mustang suspension and 245 40 zr18's with no abnormal wear
