The conversion itself isn't difficult, but working in the confined space behind the dash trying to mess with the slider cable isn't very fun. It flashes all the time and everything from 65 to 90 is hot. And 60 is freezing cold. Sometimes it will work if I set the temp and leave it on auto but most of the time it's either hot or cold. taurus heater/ac control Reply #4 – April 07, 2006, 02:01:36 PM the reason i was wondering was simply that, i wanted to do it while my dash is torn apart cus im doing the heater core and fixing the cracks on the dash... and also, i found when i unpluged my heater controlls, one of the molex connectors are melted and charred... who knows when my car might have went up in flames...
