I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Nice paint work.  The wiring in the engine bay looks like it could be cleaned up a bit, but other than that, nice wheels.

when i took off the inside door stuff for the locks, it's two-tone paint in there too, so that's why i'm guessing it's factory..... as for the engine bay, there are sooo many freyed and broken wires, i don't know what i'm going to do.... i have one wire going to the ignition box that has lost all of its covering!  anyway, i've almost been talked into doing a HO swap with a 91 or 92 mustang and just take the harness and the eec-iv with it to get it all done and over with, but i still haven't decided yet:confused:

:giggle: wife.... wire.... same difference!!!!!!  most guys would probably say that 1 wife is 1 too many!!!!  maybe i need to proofread!!!!

i'll post some interior pics soon.... i have the door panels off right now doing the locks and i'm replacing the speakers so it's a mess.....  the carpet is in great condition(especially in the back, i don't think anyone has ever been back there), the headliner has been replaced and the dash is in good shape....  the leather in the seats is a bit cracked from wear, the visors are puke grey, the rear carpet in the window is faded and the center console lid has a wear spot on it.... but other than that and a missing v-anchor clip for the pass seatbelt, it's great.....  i guess i'm just being picky... after seeing what some of you have had to do for your cats, i guess we got a steal here.....  the paint is worn in many places, and the lower doors have rust holes, but it's pretty a solid kitty....

i didn't realize my rims were so badass though.....  they're only 14's

p.s. that's my daily driver in the background... maybe i should pimp the cougar with some woodgrain on the sides too!!!:shoothead

and i got my side light up cougars to work by taking them out, cutting half the back off, and installing APC bright-white headlight illuminators (for taillights and headlights from advance... blah)....  i mounted them inside the "tunnel" of the cathead mount so that when illuminated, they look as if the light is eminating from the cat's jaw....  not quite a glow.... but i guess it's better than being dark and at least up close they don't look like they are just lit from the center.  unfortunately the pic doesn't help, but here it is

Did they work before you took them apart?

Great-looking Cougar! I, also, love the wheels and paint scheme.

And another thing, is that leather carrier hanging thing an option for those old cats?  I've never seen one.
