Sold the 95... March 27, 2006, 10:39:25 AM Well we are no longer the owners of the 95 XR7 I brought home from Pittsburgh, PA for 2500bucks on ebay about 2 years ago. I recently came acrossed a car that I think until the latest model came out was trully underated and is currently stealing my love away from the cougar. Got a 1999 Chrysler 300M from work in a auction for $2500. The Pres. of Great Lakes Window along with some of the higher guys have all gotten new cars and the old ones went up for auction. With a 130k on her, this car is PRISTINE! Triple Black, fully loaded, leather, and some options I havent even been introduced to yet like heated seats, the auto dim rear view mirror, heated side mirrors, 8 way power seats, auto heat and air, overhead console with digital compass and a garage door opener that can be programmed for up to three garage doors. But the thing that is just f***ing unreal, is the 2 person memory that is even linked to your keyless entry(transmitter on keychain). Its pegs car, but when we go out as a family, with the push of my unlock button by the time I even reach the car, the seat, the side mirrors and even the radio station presets all go back to where I had them and we are off! The feel you get from driving this car is like nothing I have ever experienced in any other car other than a BMW 7-Series I didnt even get to drive I just went for a ride in. Im almost positive I will be getting rid of the 87 now and using whatever I can get out of her along with trading in the truck to get me (Hopefully) a 2000+ Special edition 300M. DONT WORRY THE 93 AINT GOIN NOWHERE! With still less than 40k on her from the 24k I bought her at 5 years ago aint nobody gonna be able to offer me enough for my babygirl!BTW, the 95 got sold to my best friend that attended cj last year with me and ever since he went he has been trying to find an SC or atleast some kind of MN12 to bring this year. Now he does but he wants to get it painted silver by then. Quote Selected
Sold the 95... Reply #1 – March 27, 2006, 04:31:05 PM dont sell the 87. 130k on a new car is an awful lot. What ever you decide good luck with it. Quote Selected
Sold the 95... Reply #2 – March 27, 2006, 06:47:22 PM I agree, its an awfull lot of highway miles for a 99, but these days 200k is nothing on an 99, actually anything running obdII. My wife has only put 12k on her cougar the 2 years she has had it, bought with 68k sold with 80k and some change. The only reason I wanna sell the 87 is I barely get to drive her, but when I do shes a friggin blast I will tell you that. That car friggin moves! I plan on bringin her to CJ06 with a for sale sign on her... Quote Selected

Sold the 95... Reply #4 – March 27, 2006, 07:50:09 PM Great stuff! The 300 M is one of the only Chryslers that I actually enjoy looking at. Especially the Special Editions with the dual exhaust and ground effects. Quote Selected
Sold the 95... Reply #5 – March 27, 2006, 08:46:58 PM Fair warning, be prepared for the heater to stop working, and the transmission to potentially die. They are known for being notorious for doing so, and I witnessed from experience with my brothers car. His was a 2000 model with like 80,000 some odd miles on it. Quote Selected

That all black one in the commercial is on my list of dream cars. Unfortunately together we make good money but not that good...I have done my research though, did that before we placed our bid. I knew about the tranny issues but like someone else said 9 times out of ten it ends up being a sensor somewhere and the heater, one of two or even both things happen. That compressor will seize up or there is a chip in the blower motor that at first will only work on high but eventually go completely out. But for $2500 bucks, I cant complain at all. We already got some new headlights I got off of ebay today. The originals were all fogged up and not to pretty lookin. also got a 4 wheel disc kit off ebay...Gonna tint the windows, get the sunroof and window visors, possibly this grille kit.Shes gonna be shagy, I cant wait to get the rest this .
