sping the Mark VII air ride?

I have an 88 MKVII with an air ride system that is all jacked up. I know they sell kits to replace the bags with coils. but I was wondering if anyone knows if I could just use FOX TBird control arms and springs?
Or if anyone has any other ideas or knows another way to get springs in there?

Check out http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00145.html first.Although not stated in this article,i believe that 87/88 lower rear control arms could be used instead of modifying the stock mk arms.
