problems with factory stereo

Hey guys, got a problem with the stereo in the mk.Had the same problem with an 86 mk i once had,so it sounds like a common problem. It seems that when i hit a bump, turn a curve,or just the fact that the song playing hits a good beat, the radio cuts out for 15 to 30 seconds then comes back on.It crackles and pops alot. What could be causing a problem like this?I'm lost.Don't know where to start.
Oops, wrong area.Someone help with that too please.

Sounds like youve got a loose wire somewhere.
Pull push and jiggle everything til you locate the right area.
The amp on mine is behind the back seat the whole thing was
 loose from the mounting plate.

There are only two tools you will ever need:
1) WD40
2) Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Check the wires going through the grommets in the doors as well - they may have broken or the insulation worn off...
