Noob.

Hey all.

I've been searching around for a little while and finally decided to register.

Anyway I'm a big fox ford nut and have owned a few over the year's. My most recent purchase is a 85 cougar XR7 2.3t auto car.

I have not recieved the car yet I'm still working on the deal but I should have it by the beginning of march.

The car is red with the opal grey interior, 2.3t auto and pretty solid for being 20+ year's old.

Plan's call for a 5spd swap, LA3, 35's, intercooler, 3 inch exhaust and a dyno tune. Then hopefully I will uograde the brake's and suspension. The XR7 will be my new driver/cruiser.

The rest of my stable consist's of a 85 SVO 9L with the usual mod's. T04E turbo, LA3, 46's, exhaust etc etc and a 86 Saleen #120. The Saleen is sporting a 306 H/C/I and a sigle turbo set up from PTK.

The board is pretty cool, except for some of the 2.3t bashing. :nono:

Anyway I'm not new to the fox mustang but pretty new to the fox bird/cougar so I'm sure I will have a few question's for everyone.

Dont think so. I'm getting it from a friend in Kansas. He is building a 85 GT mustang open track car to race with the NASA boy's and I just happen to have alot of the part's that he need's so we are doing a little trading/swapping.

i'm going to have to agree with you. She is going to make a excellent stable mate for the SVO and the Saleen.

I love the Saleen.  So pretty.  The SVO is nice too, but I'm not that big of an SVO fan, although there are some here that love them.

2018 Ford Explorer - 3.5L DOHC V6 (Duratec 35)

Thanks.

SVO's. You either love em or hate them. the styling and small displcement engine are not for everyone. but IMHO you really need to own/drive one to understand what they are about.

thanks man. That pic of the Saleen was mor of a test fit. I still need to clean up the bracket's, pull the A/C compressor and get some powder coating done.

Hopefully it will look a little cleaner that it doese.
