I drive the white XR/7 for now but store the black GS it sleeps on plastic with jack stands under her I pull the wheels off and the battery comes out  but most impotant I spray 2 large cans of WD-40
on the entire bottom side and in the engine comartment it keeps the moisture off of the metal. I fog my motor also.  :nono: I'm not a fan of starting the engine and shutting it down it just adds condinsation to the inside of the exhaust system then you know what hapens next.

I don't start mine for the entire time it's stored. Just gotta make sure the oil pressure is up sufficiently before I DO start it.

I just hope no animals have gotten up in my exhaust pipes...

Bite me, Mr. Original-21-Year-Old-ler. ;)

Sorry fellas...no substitute for a garage. The Max and the droptop are both in garages. That comes at a premium for money and space but it's the only way to go if you can do it.

I useta keep mine in a shed but my brother has too much of his  in it so I couldn't do it this year. I don't mind leaving mine outside, I just don't want a bunch of animals getting into it.

The two 88 XR-7s (Before and After) are in my insulated garage which is integrated into the house so it stays somewhat warm.

The 86 and 87 XR-7 are outside.

They all get their engine run, AC kicked on, brakes used, windows, mirrors, antenna, etc...everything gets exercised.  The only car that hasn't been driven since November is Before.  I am hoping the only detriment that has is on his tires which will hopefully smooth out once I get the chance to drive it on the road again.  The Miata is in the way right in front of the garage and it's under a cover so it's kind of a pain to get the cover off and all of that without getting the cover dirty during this wet, windy, cold season.

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway - no driving in winter rain or salt-covered roads for these cats.
"lol.. because not too many people care for that style of car"

My mustang sees the garage now and being that it only snowed once this winter and it has already melted, this one wasn't bad.  When the wife gets her new car we've decide to keep her 2000 cougar as a commuter for me.  Then the Demon will be outside, but won't see winter roadways.

My cougar is in this winter. I've started on some of the upgrades. This is the 1st winter she has been inside. After the new paint job this spring she will be inside most of the time.
