Winter Storage February 16, 2006, 11:56:54 AM My car stays inside our heated cement-floor barn all winter, without insurance. Anyone else store their car over the cold months? I'm getting insurance back on my 'Bird today. Quote Selected

The problem is, I parked it for the winter a year and a half ago. :( Quote Selected
Winter Storage Reply #3 – February 16, 2006, 12:07:36 PM The cougar has been "sitting pretty" in a boat storage shed this winter with the interior half ripped out. Actually, it's not that pretty, lol! She also developed a strange problem with the brakes. I got it out last month to drive it and I couldn't stop it (which is usually a bad thing). So I need to look into that. Quote Selected

Winter Storage Reply #5 – February 16, 2006, 01:24:07 PM Yep...mine's been sitting on a patch of concrete, on jackstands, with a car cover & tarp over it since mid-October. I'm planning on getting it back out here in a couple weeks so I can start working on it. Quote Selected

Winter Storage Reply #7 – February 16, 2006, 04:02:55 PM This will be the last winter my 'Bird stays outside. I usually take the PL/PD insurance off and leave the comprehensive on, but this year, when the Volvo engine blew, I left insurance on it and hadn't bothered removing it. Quote Selected

Winter Storage Reply #14 – February 17, 2006, 12:45:06 PM Mine's a block away in my grandparents garage under a cover and sitting with old steel wheels on it (I stack the tires I drive on in the summer like pancakes to keep them from getting flat spots). I go over and start it up once a week for 15 minutes or so just to keep the engine in good shape. I can't wait till April 1st when i can take it out again. Some how driving my '93 Buick Century isn't the same  . Quote Selected
