Anti-Moans??? Reply #1 – February 15, 2006, 05:12:20 PM well...they can be added later if your brakes vibrate...they look like they support them some what as well but you could probably get away with not using them... Quote Selected

Anti-Moans??? Reply #3 – February 15, 2006, 05:47:38 PM what's the best way to get the stock tc brackets off? Quote Selected
Anti-Moans??? Reply #5 – February 15, 2006, 05:51:24 PM i cut them off with an angle grinder......if you unbolt them you might be able too bend them back and forth untill they break off then grind the welds smooth. Quote Selected
Anti-Moans??? Reply #6 – February 15, 2006, 06:29:19 PM the antimoan brackets. sweet. i'll give it go when i head out to the garage tomorrow. though i don't recall where the welds are...thanks john. :) Quote Selected
Anti-Moans??? Reply #7 – February 15, 2006, 07:30:12 PM you probably should use them if you have them for the new brakes...the turbo coupes anti moan brackets are welded to the axle housing tube.... Quote Selected
Anti-Moans??? Reply #8 – February 16, 2006, 01:55:42 PM I didn't have to ditch my TC antimoan brackets. I got all my 5 lug stuff (brakes only) form a 96 stang. The j/y wouldn't let me have the backing plates(they said I had to buy the whole rearend for those-yeah right) They did let me compare my TC plates to the stang ones. Stang's were different thickness. I said wth and put it together with the TC plates. I have moser 33 splines with c-clip elims and brembo rotors and have to space the caliper out approx 1/4 inch which leaves plenty of bolt left to hold the caliper. Am i missing something here? I haven't reinstalled the rearend yet. Quote Selected

Am i missing something here? You're planning to use disc brakes with C-clip eliminators? That's pretty gutsy. :) There shouldn't have been enough of the axle shaft to even fit the C-clip eliminators on correctly. Did you remove the exciter ring from the axle shafts? If I were going to run C-clip eliminators, I'd be using 1999-2004 Mustang axle shafts since they're longer and will provide enough surface area for the eliminators to clamp to. But that's me. Anti-Moans??? Reply #10 – February 16, 2006, 04:35:46 PM well i ordered the mosers for a 96 mustang to get the proper length. there are no exciter rings on them. the elims were preinstalled and there seems to be plenty of engagement in the spool. Quote Selected
Anti-Moans??? Reply #11 – February 16, 2006, 04:46:59 PM Ah, gotcha. So that's why you had enough length to install the eliminators. Normally C-clip eliminators and rear disc brakes are a big no-no to do in a stock configuration. Aftermarket parts make all the difference though. Quote Selected

Thanks.Out of curiousity, what 5 lug parts are you using for the swap? Is it possible to use your existing TC calipers with 94-98 mustang axles and 91-92 Lincoln Mark VII rotors? I read somewhere that this is the set-up Ford used on the 1993 Mustang Cobra R. Quote Selected
