I'm getting ready to put in a 5.0SO in my '88, and have a pair of Flowmasters for it afterwards, I heard them on my bud's 92 Stang GT, and it had a decent low rumble, but then he had coughcoughguttedcatscoughcough.
Fairly loud at higher revs, but not what I'D term excessive...
I hear Borla is along those lines too, low and rumbly but without the Nascar scream at WOT.

If you have the stock performance, then I wouldn't put anything louder than 50-series Flowmasters with cats.  If you don't use cats, then I would go with the next quietest series.

I don't like having a car that is guilty of "false advertisp00get."  We've heard plenty of imports with a lot of audible show, but no go.

If a car is really loud, then it should be really fast with performance mods so it can live up to its sound.

Basically, I would go with one step louder and deeper than what you have now, and no more.
"lol.. because not too many people care for that style of car"

How far do you plan on taking your exhaust? Headers? H-pipe?

i would do headers, and h-pipe, and some super turbo style lers, like dynomax, or borla
It's Gumby's fault.

Aren't cherry bombs just glasspacks? Glasspacks just make it sound like a pickup truck.
