Q about HO VS non HO 5.0L Smog Pump

I apologize for this one, as I know this is the last thing anyone cares about, but I'm in a tough emission test state..

I pulled a smog pump from an 89 Mark VII with HO 5.0 to use with a 5.0 HO MAF set-up, and just discovered it has 2 other air output connectors (shown in red) coming off the smog pump output in addition to the large main one (in green) that is normally found on the standard 5.0 that goes to the TAD/TAB...

Unfortunately I did not realize this in the bone yard, so now I'm left wondering where these two small outputs go to?

Anyone have a diagram of where the smog pump output goes to on a 5.0 HO?  :dunno:

Dunno where they connect... I believe they were on the LSC I got my engine from, but they are not on the Mustang.

dude, i passed emmissions with holes in my exhaust, and the tube running from the smog pump to the cats rotted off
It's Gumby's fault.

You wanna hear my emissions sob story?  :shoothead Heres an abbreviated version:

- My 3.8L EFI failed NOx on the treadmill

- Took it to 3 different shops, and no one could fix it. And oh, by the way, they have to be "certified" shops by the state.  So thats when I had to either trash the car, or spend up to the $450 limit on it.

- Since no shop could fix it, this poor sob (me)  who knew squat about cars decided that I should get the original precats on the car (Your way with the "holes" would have been cheaper!).

- The exhaust shop put em in, but they clanged against the frame, they thought I needed a new motor mount.

- Took it to another shop for the motor mounts, and they must have jacked the engine to the sky by means of the tranny, they ripped the negative cable from the battery, returned the car to me and it had a major tranny leak.  Thought it was the tranny pan, but replaced it & still had a leak from inside the bell housing.

- The precats still banged against the frame, the MD inspections wouldn't test it as the vibrations sounded like a "bad" exhaust.  Turns out there must have been some frame bending from a prior accident that noone ever noticed.

- I ended up cutting some frame away, and then it was tested and passed.  But by 1/10 of a point.

- Aside from the continual tranny oil spots, a few months later the headgasket blew.

Its a cataclysm of events all kicked off by our so called easy emisisions test, and assisted by my auto-naivety. :disappoin This is when I decided to dive into auto mechanics for the first time in my life.  Why couldn't 3 shops figure things out?  Probably because if you own an older car, not many places want to give it the time of day.

Anyway, since when is a 5-10 minute dyno test easy?  I long for the tail pipe test days.  The guy testing my car couldn't even keep it within the speed boundry & had to restart the test TWICE  :disappoin

Thanks for all the comments, it looks like the Mark VII smog outputs are special to that year/model, so I'll get the single outlet tube & use it instead to match the HO Mustang..
