Let me go out tomorrow and look at my maroon '88...
I thin that panel might be in good shape.
When I stripped the car in my shop, i used a tractor with a haysticker to pick it up and move it, did spear a hole in the floor pan, but not near that area, so I'll check it out tomorrow, and get back with ya...
I'll also take a digi cam and snap a coupla pics...
Only problem will be actuall cutting the  thing, as I have no torch or cutter thingie (die grinder?)
, I got a piece to help someone else out with, and can't think of a way to get it! lol

Man I just sent my 87 to the junk yard.It had great floor pans in it, just way to much rust around the front and rear windows. The drains were clogged up so the water just rotted away the metal.

Pick up a 4 1/2" angle grinder with a zip-cut blade, theyre cheap and you will find tons of uses for it. Just make sure the sparks arent directly hitting anything flamable for too long... burning pantlegs arent fun if its you, if its someone else then its a different story:D

I'm going out there tomorrow to check it out, was there today but had so much to do, I didn't have time to get at it...
Seeing that I've got to get one of the tractors out to drag some cars and line up, I'll just pick the whole car up, and take it to the shop where there's electricity, and get what ya need.:)

I ended up going out there this morning, when I couldn't sleep.
I picked it up, and set in on it's side so I could get a good look at the bottom...
Thing is, it's kinda rusty on the bottom, coupla smaller spots, and one big spot about the size of a baseball.
It appears like it's ate into it a bit, so I'll see what you wanna do.
I really didn't think that it was like that on the bottom, sorry man.
