Another 'New' Cougar Article

Not a bad article.

If Ford really wants to target the younger generation with a new RWD Cougar, I think they should strongly consider an optional manual transmission; especially with a V8.
Think about it! They had the guts to stick one in the Lincoln LS (Lincoln's first manual transmission since '49).

How hard will it be to pull Mercury out of the abyss known as, "an old man's brand?" They seem to be expanding their horizons with the addition of the Milan. I happen to think that the Topaz/Tracer vehicles were "throw-away cars" with nothing much to offer in the way of luxury, performance or class.
The Milan seems to be on the same playing field as the Jetta or Passat, but will it sell? Perhaps that will aid in the decision-making process for a new Cougar to go into production.
